ADRIATIC LUXURY HOTELS AND JANA PRESENT THIS YEAR'S PROGRAM STARS BENEATH THE STARS

 

The superior summer program and parties on spectacular locations are the part of the traditional summer known as Stars Beneath the Stars organized for the sixth year by the hotel group Adriatic Luxury Hotels, which significantly complements the social and cultural offer of the city. For the first time, this traditional event is supported by the natural spring water Jana, the gold sponsor already accustomed to the companionship of the famous. Being famous and acknowledged worldwide, Jana fits perfectly into the program, and it will be at hand for all the participants as natural 'accessories'. 

 

The summer program Stars Beneath the Stars takes places in July and August at the attractive open-air locations of the Dubrovnik five star ALH hotels Excelsior, Dubrovnik Palace and Bellevue, where top domestic and foreign entertainers will perform this year also.

 

This year's program starts on July 10 with the performance of Klapa Kampanel in the attractive area of the Palm Garden of the Excelsior Hotel. In the opening night of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival the visitors will enjoy spectacular fireworks along with the sound of one of the most special klapa groups – Kampanel. These top performers will, along with their songs such as 'Aj ča, volin te', cover the pop hits of the 80-s of Dino Dvornik, Neno Belan, Novi Fosili, Oliver Dragojević, U2 and many others in the klapa version.  

 

The program continues on July 16 at the Vala Club of the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace where the people of Dubrovnik and their guests will be presented with a unique 'tribute to' show from London 'This is it show' designed in the honor of the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Danny Oliver, one of the most favorite MJ impersonators, and a group of about ten singers and dancers will remind us of the 'danciest' period in the music era with some of the most popular hits of all times such as 'Dirty Diana', 'Beat it', 'Thriller', 'Smooth Criminal' and many other hits of the King of Pop Michael Jackson. 

 

In the open-air area of the Palm Garden at the Excelsior Hotel, on July 23 vocal divas – the Husar sisters will present themselves along with their guests - actors Goran Navojec and Boris Mirković. With exceptional vocal abilities and unique interpretations, these performers will surely thrill with their latest hits on one of the most beautiful Adriatic terraces with the view of the Dubrovnik Old town and Walls.

 

In the heart of the summer, on July 31 in the Palm Garden of the Excelsior Hotel the queen of Croatian show business will perform. Popular Severina will definitely draw raves with her spontaneous sensuality, femininity and performing energy that leave no one indifferent.

 

Ivo Gamulin, one of the most talented Croatian tenors, often referred to by the media and music critics as Croatian Andrea Bocelli, will perform on August 5 at the Vala Club of the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace. The special guest on this concert under stars will be the famous singer Maja Blagdan.

 

On August 13, 2010 at the Vala Club of the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace the Croatian pop diva of irresistible charm and knock-out charisma Nina Badrić will perform. The Croatian music diva of supreme vocal abilities will announce her new album coming out in autumn.

 

A special treat will take place on August 22 when the Great American Songbook – West end musical – will be presented. The trio of extraordinary performers Paul Roberts, Louisa Parry and Glyn Kerslake from the famous London West End, the centre of musical and dramatic art, will bring to Dubrovnik and the stage of the Vala Club at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace some of the most popular American songs performed originally by legendary singers such as Tony Bennett, Nat “King” Cole, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald…          

 

An inevitable part of the by now traditional summer Stars Beneath the Stars is definitely the famous actor, singer and poet Rade Šerbedžija who will perform on August 27. Rade Šerbedžija, accompanied by the world-known guitar virtuoso Miroslav Tadić, will perform in the fine Grota Bar at the Bellevue Hotel.  

 

The final spectacular concert of the Stars Beneath the Stars will be performed by Massimo accompanied by the HRT Bing Band. The dramatic area of the Vala Club will revive the memories of the unique Frank Sinatra, whose songs will be sung by Massimo accompanied by 19 musicians of the HRT Big Band orchestra and conductor Silvio Glojnarić with unforgettable hits 'I Won't Dance", "They Can't Take That Away From Me", "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "Fly Me To The Moon".
